Welcome to Manor Park Primary Academy’s school website!

Message from Head Teacher Christine Chapman

Welcome to Manor Park Primary Academy. I feel very privileged to be Headteacher of the school and to be part of the school’s vision to bring the very best education and pastoral care to the children and families it serves. We are a friendly school, with a dedicated staff team and amazing children! Our team of teachers and teaching assistants provide a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment in which all children enjoy learning and aspire to achieve and succeed. We believe that the first years of school have the potential to set children up for a lifelong love of learning.  Working with children is always a privilege – we have the opportunity to support, encourage, and enable each and every child to reach their potential.  We aim to build their resilience, independence and aspirations while developing respect and responsibility. Our school mission statement: ‘Community, Diversity and Excellence’ and our school values – Aspiration, Courage, Kindness, Gratitude, Resilience, Respect – drive our vision and ethos, underpinning all that we do both in the classroom and beyond.

We are proud to be a member of the REAch2 Academy Trust, the largest primary-only trust in the U.K. The Trust provides us with excellent support and challenge, recognising that every school is unique and different. Trust initiatives such as 11BEFORE11 ensure that all our children are offered a range of memorable, enriching experiences beyond our bespoke, broad, balanced and ambitious curriculum. As a school, we strive to offer a curriculum that meets the needs of our school community and is stimulating and creative. By promoting personal development alongside academic pursuits, we strive to achieve the best outcomes for our children so that they are academically and socially equipped for their future life when they leave us at the end of Year 6. Our Governing Body plays an essential role in the development and success of the school and we welcome working in partnership with parents and carers and local community groups in the heart of Aston.

We strongly value celebrating achievement and encouraging children’s self-esteem. Weekly Celebration Assemblies celebrate and reward children’s achievements, and our school behaviour system promotes positive behaviour. Through our pastoral team and personal development opportunities, we promote the development of excellent relationships between the members of our school community and Citizenship is a very important aspect of our school life. Opportunities for our children, such as Junior PCSOs and School Council, enable our children to experience leadership and to ensure that pupils have a voice in the school’s further improvements. We hope that you enjoy visiting our school website and find much of the information you need. Do not hesitate to contact our administrative staff if you would like further clarification, information or, to arrange a visit. We look forward to welcoming you.
